The Author in Interview - Natasha Pulley | GLADFEST 2023
The Author in Interview - Natasha Pulley
3.30pm to 4.30pm
Tickets can no longer be purchased via our website. The remaining in-person tickets can be bought from our Reception and will be available at our on-site box office on September 8th and 9th.
Her books abound with vivid flights of imagination, from clockwork creatures to time-travelling soldiers to magic in the forests of South America. But Natasha Pulley is a writer who underpins all this with deep and practical real-world research, while remaining relentlessly realistic about the world of writing. Online and in person, she is candid about the lot of the professional writer, the highs, the lows, the risks, the rewards.
In this interview, Natasha will offer insights into the day-to-day life of an author as she is quizzed about her path to literary success - and what happens next. Natasha’s talks are always delivered with her trademark humour, honesty and enthusiasm, and whether you are a fan of Natasha’s work, an aspiring writer or simply interested in what goes into writing a novel – and what novel writing takes out of you – this will be an entertaining and revealing hour.
She will be interviewed by Dr Rhian Waller, whose background includes academic research on fantasy literature, and who is a self-confessed fantasy nerd and proud owner of all of Natasha Pulley’s novels.
