Join us for a magical interlude of seasonal storytelling in the company of Mellt the Storyteller.

Enter the realm of the Winter Queen, witness the battling of the Oak and Holly Kings, revel in the enchantment and joy of the Frost Fair, marvel at the audacity of The Bad Fairy as she aims for The Top of The Tree, and more.

Mellt, a native of North Wales, has been telling stories to groups and organisations for several years; she has performed at festivals as far afield as Leicester, Nottingham and Devon, often stretching the boundaries of storytelling to include song, dance, music, drumming, and physical theatre, in collaboration with other performers.

In 2017, inspired by her beloved Four Branches of the Mabinogi, she wrote, directed and performed in Wondrous! The Magical Women of Welsh Myth, at Theatr Clwyd, alongside thirty friends who brought their various talents to the show.

Mellt is a passionate exponent of the power of story, the lessons to be learned from myth and fairytale, and the need for us to begin creating our own tales and mythology for this and future generations.

NOTE: these stories are not aimed at under-16s.
