Gladstone’s Library now has an online bookshop thanks to bookshop.org.

Bookshop.org is an online only bookshop with a mission to financially support local, independent bookshops.

When you select Gladstone’s Library as your chosen bookshop on bookshop.org up to 30% of any purchase you make will go to the Library – helping to support our work and collections. You can browse Library’s online bookshop page here: uk.bookshop.org/shop/gladstoneslibrary

We will be updating our page of a regular basis to showcase books linked the Library’s programme, events and residencies. You can also use the search function to find any books you are looking for and bookshop.org will send them directly to your home (subject to availability).

How to use bookshop.org to support the Library.

  • Use this weblink to access the Library page: bookshop.org/shop/gladstoneslibrary

  • Click on the black ‘Choose Bookshop’ button.

If you need more guidance, please click here for detailed instructions.

Don’t worry, the Library will still have a small bookshop onsite and we will continue to sell books at our events, courses and talks with authors, writers, and researchers.

By design, Bookshop.org gives away the vast majority of their profits to bookshops, publications, authors and the many others who make up the thriving, inspirational culture around books and reading.

All sales through bookshop.org are fulfilled by bookshop.org and the Library does not hold any stock onsite. This is an online bookshop only and books will be sent directly to you.

We hope you enjoy our new bookshop.org page, and we would love to hear your feedback so please do get in touch.
