The Festival has been organised to celebrate the past, present and future of the Library.
It will open with a reception with Warden, Peter Francis, tonight at 6pm.
Tomorrow morning visitors can enjoy looking ahead to the future developments planned for the Library and take the opportunity to ask any questions they may have. A number of people have also booked an opportunity to visit the ‘Temple of Peace’ which was Gladstone’s study at Hawarden Castle.
The weekend finishes with cream teas and free guided tours as part of the European Heritage Days in Wales scheme from 2-5pm and finally with a Choral Evensong in St. Deiniol’s Church at 6pm.
This beautiful service with its rich heritage is taking place with the Chapel Choir of Abbey Gate College and Canon Robin Morrison, former Bishops’ Advisor on Church and Society for the Church in Wales.
We hope you all enjoy the weekend with us - whether you are just visiting for one event or are staying with us for the weekend.
