Gladfest is on holiday in 2024
Our much-loved literary festival turned ten in 2023, and the Library team were delighted to celebrate with many of you. And there’s certainly been a lot to celebrate. Over the past decade we’ve welcomed some of the very best writers working today, and they’ve helped us turn this corner of North Wales into a joyful festival of books every September.
However, thanks to a £777,246 grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) Covid-19 Response Fund, our focus in 2024 will be on making major repairs to our historic Library.
This means we’ll be spending much of this coming year improving and repairing our 120-year-old roof. As a result, Gladfest will be taking a well-earned break until 2025.
