On Friday, 14th December the Gladstone’s Library team, along with thousands of people up and down the country, will start their day by pulling on a Christmas jumper for a great cause.
For the past three years the Library has taken part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day campaign. Each year we pull on our terrible Christmas knits (some more terrible than others!) and donate £2 to help bring essential food, healthcare, education, and protection to millions of children around the world who are missing out.
And this year we want you to join us! Whether you’re making us your office for the day, getting together with friends for a Christmas Afternoon Tea, knuckling down to some writing in the Reading Rooms, or staying with us for a relaxing break, it’s all about getting everyone together in their daftest woollies!
So, join us on Friday, 14th December in your festive woollen splendour, donate to the Save the Children fund, and to say thank you we’ll give you a free cup of tea or filter coffee in our Food for Thought bistro.*
Don’t forget to share the jumper joy on the day using #ChristmasJumperDay!
See you then!
*Please make your donation into the box in Reception when you arrive and you will be issued with a voucher which may then be redeemed in Food for Thought. Please note this is limited to one cup per person.
