We're offering all ticket-holders to our Gladfest 2016 Young People’s sessions free entry to Ruth Thomas’ Roald Dahl-inspired print workshops!
To say thank you for booking your onto of our Young People’s sessions (including all Meek events), we’re offering your little one free entry to our Roald Dahl-inspired print workshops, run by local printmaker, Ruth Thomas. These activities tie in with the national Roald Dahl 100 Wales celebrations, marking what would have been Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday, and are some of the only events taking place in North Wales!
If your young Gladfester is booked to attend a session on Saturday, 3rd September, we’re offering free entry to our Curious Creatures Print Workshop, 3.30pm – 5.30pm. This interactive and hands-on session allows children to print card collages using Dahl's marvellous animals and creations as inspiration, using a real printing press. The Roly-Poly Bird from The Enormous Crocodile, Muggle-Wump the monkey from The Twits, the insect creatures in James and the Giant Peach; they’ll listen to passages from his most famous stories to develop pictures, photos and toys into art to take home.
If the session you have booked is on Sunday, 4th September, we’re offering free entry to Roald Dahl Scrabble. Using Ruth’s special printing presses, kids can print letters in cool colours and shapes – making a famous Roald Dahl title – and then reshuffle them to create silly phrases, the sillier the better!
Both of these sessions include refreshments and something to take home.
To book into one of these free workshops, please call 01244 532350 or email [email protected], making sure to quote the discount code FREEYP16 at the time of booking.
